Our Front End auto services include:

King Pins
A king pin is the main pivot in the steering mechanism of your truck. In most vehicle steering systems, the pin forms part of the mechanism for turning the front wheels. Failure of the king pin will mean that the steering system will not work properly...and improperly working steering systems can be dangerous. To avoid accidents arising from turning problems make sure your truck's king pin is regularly checked and serviced. To have the king pin and the entire steering system checked and serviced by experts, call 503-656-0600 or visit Tim's Automotive Repair and Sales today.

Power Steering
Power steering (also known as the steering assist system) helps you turn the truck by augmenting the steering effort of the steering wheel. Power steering works by utilizing a hydraulic pump mounted on the engine. When the wheel is turned, the fluid in the steering system (held under pressure) is released applying pressure to the steering system.

Power steering is considerably useful when the truck is moving slowly or stopped. It also helps you with the feel of the road. To ensure driving safety make sure your truck's power steering is regularly serviced. For all your power steering needs, visit or call Tim's Automotive Repair and Sales in Clackamas, OR 97015 today.

Spring & U Bolts
The spring supports the weight of your truck allowing the suspension to move over bumps. The movement of the spring is controlled by the shocks. The shocks stop it from bouncing.

U-bolts are U-shaped bolts with screw threads on both ends. There are many uses for U-bolts - one common use is to attach pipes. For all your spring and U-bolt needs, call 503-656-0600 or visit Tim's Automotive Repair and Sales today.

What People Say About Us

  • -Micah A.

This has been my inlaws family's mechanic for years and through their recommendation I took my vehicle to them. I had a good experience with this company taking my vehicle to them. They have fair and competitive pricing for their services. We worked out a plan to address upcoming maintenance done on my vehicle. Without going into much detail they were very honest with me, I commend them for their honesty. Marty and Kim up front were great to work with. I highly recommend anyone to bring their vehicle to them. I will be using their services in the future.

  • -Joe P.

Friendly, professional, fair price. Car was ready exactly when they said it would be. I will definitely be returning. Thank you!

  • -Wyatt S.

I have had the best experience I could've asked for. They have made sure all of my expenses have been covered by insurance. I was hit head on by a cop, when you get hit by the city they make you pay up front and they reimburse you. For the first month I had a rental car from enterprise and insurance stuck me with a $600 bill on top of what they covered so I got rid of my rental and went with a rental from Tim's its not a 2019 but it is completely covered by Tim's and is a reliable car that has gotten me to and from work and all my errands. With all of the work done to my car insurance should have totaled it but I can't even tell my car was in a accident. Through out this whole endeavor I have felt like Tim's had my best interest at heart and didn't let insurance make me go with used parts like they were telling me I had to go with when I was going to go with the "preferred shop" they told me to go with.

I have been doing business with Tim's Auto for the last 10 years. I have a Construction company with as many as 6 trucks and 3 trailers called Douglas Construction. Tim has been doing the Maintenance and repairs on all my trucks and trailers as well as my personal vehicles for the last 10 years. The service is excellent and in most all cases Tim goes and picks up my trucks if they broke down in the field. I am totally confident in there Mechanics and there ability to keep my vehicles driving safely. I and my friends have also bought vehicles from Tim's, and even picked them out at auctions, through Tim's Auto. Tim himself has become a friend as well as a business associate over the years. Personally I wouldn't Take my vehicles any where else.

  • -Holly D.

Been a customer of Tim's for over 20 years. Buy my cars here and would not consider going anywhere else for tires, tune-ups, oil changes, body work or anything else to do with my car.

  • -Mark F.
