Bore Engine Block
A bore is the diameter measurement of the cylinders in an engine. When the engine cylinder walls are damaged, the holes must be re-drilled to make them bigger for proper performance. This is referred to as a bored engine. Boring an engine is an economical alternative to buying a new one. By boring the engine block, the engine is reverted to its good running condition. You will now have fewer repair bills, better gas mileage, and overall better performance. To have your engine bored by engine experts, visit or call 503-656-0600 Tim's Automotive Repair and Sales today. Our machine shop has the necessary machinery and staff to bore your car's engine block.

Brake Drum / Rotor Resurfacing
A brake drum/rotor is not meant to last forever. They wear down a little every time you step on the brake pedal. Most modern cars come with thinner rotors to save on weight. Due to their slimness, the rotors wear out faster. For this reason, it is advisable to have the rotors and brake drums resurfaced every time you are replacing the brake pads. Resurfacing is an economical alternative to replacing the rotors/drums with new ones. If your brake rotors/drums have sufficient metal remaining with no hard spots, cracks, severe grooving, or rusting, then resurfacing is a great option. For expert resurfacing services, call 503-656-0600 or visit Tim's Automotive Repair and Sales today.

Check for Cracked Heads
A cracked head is a serious engine problem that can lead to your car breaking down. Even if the car engine won't fail, it will definitely suffer from poor performance. The following are some symptoms of a cracked engine head: oil leaks, low engine compression (engine combustion pressure escapes), coolant leaks (leading to engine overheating), engine head smoke, and engine missing. At Tim's Automotive Repair and Sales, we will have a knowledgeable service professional check for cracked heads on your car's engine.

    What People Say About Us

    • -Micah A.

This has been my inlaws family's mechanic for years and through their recommendation I took my vehicle to them. I had a good experience with this company taking my vehicle to them. They have fair and competitive pricing for their services. We worked out a plan to address upcoming maintenance done on my vehicle. Without going into much detail they were very honest with me, I commend them for their honesty. Marty and Kim up front were great to work with. I highly recommend anyone to bring their vehicle to them. I will be using their services in the future.

    • -Joe P.

Friendly, professional, fair price. Car was ready exactly when they said it would be. I will definitely be returning. Thank you!

    • -Wyatt S.

I have had the best experience I could've asked for. They have made sure all of my expenses have been covered by insurance. I was hit head on by a cop, when you get hit by the city they make you pay up front and they reimburse you. For the first month I had a rental car from enterprise and insurance stuck me with a $600 bill on top of what they covered so I got rid of my rental and went with a rental from Tim's its not a 2019 but it is completely covered by Tim's and is a reliable car that has gotten me to and from work and all my errands. With all of the work done to my car insurance should have totaled it but I can't even tell my car was in a accident. Through out this whole endeavor I have felt like Tim's had my best interest at heart and didn't let insurance make me go with used parts like they were telling me I had to go with when I was going to go with the "preferred shop" they told me to go with.

I have been doing business with Tim's Auto for the last 10 years. I have a Construction company with as many as 6 trucks and 3 trailers called Douglas Construction. Tim has been doing the Maintenance and repairs on all my trucks and trailers as well as my personal vehicles for the last 10 years. The service is excellent and in most all cases Tim goes and picks up my trucks if they broke down in the field. I am totally confident in there Mechanics and there ability to keep my vehicles driving safely. I and my friends have also bought vehicles from Tim's, and even picked them out at auctions, through Tim's Auto. Tim himself has become a friend as well as a business associate over the years. Personally I wouldn't Take my vehicles any where else.
