I have taken my car & truck to Tim & his team & always gave me a fair price. Something happened to my car & he was so busy- it was on a Friday late & he asked if I could leave it there & he would look at it as soon as he could- I told him I didn't have a ride& he offered me a car to use for the weekend. Pretty cool of him! I think he's a good honest, guy & we Will be having all that needs to be done to our vehicles by him! Thanks!! Tim �

These guys are honest and trustworthy! I trust them with my car and my daughter's safety. Great that they have FREE loaner cars while they work on your car. I was a little concerned on my first visit when they gave me a list of 10 items for repair. Then Kim, office manager, reviewed the list with me and helped me understand these were all the repairs they could SEE with my car NOT all the repairs my car NEEDED. They helped me address safety issues first and then other items of my choice as my budget allowed. There are still items on the list 3 years later that I have chosen to live with and I have NEVER received any pressure to get this work done. You will be relieved you found an honest shop!

My girl friend and I broke down in Clackamas on our way back from Bend. Trying to find a place in Portland close to home to tow the truck to, we stumbled across Tim's Automotive. They were very up front and honest with the Diagnostics while spending time to teach/show us about the nature of the trucks electrical system and what went wrong right at closing time. It was fixed the next day and even though the part was obsolete and expensive for new, they found a used part in great shape for less money. Very upfront and honest.

I highly recommend Tim and his staff. My daughter's car was having problems. They not only took the time to explain everything that was wrong with the engine in layman terms, they let her have a loaner car while they repaired it. I am really impressed with their knowledge and genuinely great customer care. Thank you soooo much !!!

I have been going to Tim's for many, many years, bought cars for myself and my teenagers and had all service done. I appreciate the communication if the mechanic finds an issue that will increase the cost. I also have been helped by with reliable loaner cars when needed and had the opportunity to test drive a car for a few days before buying it. There are many mechanics out there, cost may vary. Customer service is what counts more than anything else. Having a mechanic I can trust, an owner who is honest, knowledgeable and has direct oversight are all important to me. Not sure why some people have had problems. They have not described my experience at all.

This is a place where the guys in charge work on cars all week, then go home and work on cars - because they have a passion for what they do. I live most of 3 hours away, but this is the place where I take my car. Working with folks who can draw from a huge database of experience is very helpful, and the results have been reliable. Also, when I have had to leave my car, they have given me a loaner, no additional charge. Yeah, they get busy. With lots of car repair places to choose from, the fact that Tim's gets so busy might be a clue. If you want to know what's up with your car, they'll put it on the rack and walk you through exactly what they're doing and why. A+

I took my Ford Escape in to them after being quoted by another repair shop a ridiculous amount to fix my power steering. They fixed it for a significant difference in price, and told me what was actually wrong. They showed me what the problems were and what they wanted to do so that I understood what was happening to my car. I took it in again after my alignment needed to be redone and had some other things checked on it. Each time they have given me a loaner car that works perfectly to get back to Salem. They were also willing to talk directly to my mother so that she understood what was happening as well over the phone. The owner Tim is a kind gentleman who is willing to work with you so that you're safe driving. I would recommend this shop ten times over. They will check your car to see what the problem actually is so that you just aren't replacing parts in hopes of fixing the problem. They treat people like people and not just another way to make a dime.
